The old-stager 1.9D diesel engine has been dropped, and the cars available at launch have either a 65bhp 1.2-litre petrol engine or a much stronger-pulling 1.9 JTD turbo diesel with a power output increased to 105bhp, and maximum torque of 151lb/ft right down at 1750rpm. Performance figures for this engine are a 0-62mph time of 12.4 seconds and a top speed of 104mph. It allows for fuel consumption of 58.9mpg extra urban and 48.7 combined, and the CO2 emissions are 153g/km. In May the 1.3-litre MultiJet engine, smallest turbo diesel on the world market, will be added to the range, offering 70bhp and 133lb/ft of torque at the same engine speed as the 1.9 JTD. Fiat is pointing out that the MultiJet has oil change intervals at 12,000 miles, and that the fanbelt and timing chain should be good for 150,000.
All versions of the Doblò now have a two-tone fascia, while the latest catalogue includes four new paint finishes - Sky Blue, Astro Blue, Opal Green and New Black - plus four new cloth trims. |
