After three years of planning, seven months of building and an investment of around £1.2 million, the Bentley Kent showroom has opened for business in London Road, Sevenoaks. Guests at the opening ceremony, which was attended by Bentley Motors Managing Director Geoff Dowding, were treated to the sight of a 1953 R-Type Continental and the Speed 8 which won the 2003 Le Mans 24 Hour race.

Dowding pointed out that 2006 marks the 60th anniversary of Bentley production at Crewe, and drew attention to the forthcoming Azure and Continental GTC models, both of which will go on sale later this year.

"We are absolutely delighted with our new Bentley Kent facilities and look forward to welcoming all our existing and new customers," said General Manager, Ian Barrow. "This represents a huge investment by our parent company Jardine Motor Group, and it is very much in keeping with the advanced engineering and craftsmanship that have always been the hallmarks of the Bentley range."
