Model maker Corgi's 50th anniversary celebrations continue with an online auction where you can buy gold-plated versions of five exclusive products. These are the Spitfire and Bristol Lodekka FS (of which 49 examples are available), the Simon Snorkel (48) and the ERF ECT Curtainside lorry and Jaguar E-Type (47 each, pictured below).

"Collectors often find it hard to get their hands on such special limited edition models," says Corgi Collectables Marketing Manager Jill Davey. "As it's our 50th anniversary, we wanted to offer everyone a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to own what we're sure will become a piece of Corgi history."

The auction starts at 8pm on May 1, and the models will be listed for ten days. Interested bidders should go to www.corgi.co.uk and follow the links to the auction.
