Peugeot is making the 1007 city car available to driving schools, complete with He-Man dual controls, through a special finance programme. The 1007 isn't universally popular, and its marketing is aimed at older drivers, but Peugeot is right to point out that its excellent forward visibility, plus the fact that it was awarded a maximum five stars for adult occupant protection in Euro NCAP crash testing, make it an intriguing choice for learners.

Prices on the finance programme start at £42.85 per week, which most driving schools will be able to cover before Monday lunchtime. More details are available at www.peugeot.co.uk, or by phoning 0845 200 2540.
