Peugeot is launching a GTi version of its 207 model to go on sale this June.

The 207 GTi THP engine produces a maximum power of 175bhp and a torque of 180/lb ft from 1600 rpm. The torque output of the engine remains unchanged all the way up to 4500 rpm but can be increased to 195/lb ft temporarily, due to the “over-boost” function. It is fitted with a five-speed manual gearbox with specific gear ratios.

Maximum speed is 137mph while the 0-62mph is achieved in 7.1 seconds. Combined fuel economy is 39.2mpg and C02 emissions are 171g/km.

Features include Bridgestone Potenza 205/45R17W tyres mounted on new 17” nine-spoke "Pitlane" alloy wheels, a rear spoiler, a trapezoid twin chrome exhaust, satin black finish of the door B-post trims and satin chrome door mirror covers.

The 207 GTi THP 175 has four "bucket" style seats based on those used in motor sport and trimmed in dark Alcantara with a matching 3D mesh.

Also available as either standard equipment or extras are: a rear parking aid, elliptical headlamps incorporating static directional lighting, a speed limiter coupled with a cruise control, automatic headlamps and wipers, dual zone climate control air conditioning, tyre under-inflation sensors, folding electric door mirrors and an electro-chrome interior rear-view mirror.

The Peugeot 207 GTi THP 175 will go on sale in the UK priced £14,995 on-the-road.
