| Nissan Qashqai Diesel In Production | ||

(Tue 17 Apr 07) The 2.0 dCi turbo diesel version of the Nissan Qashqai has gone into production at the Sunderland factory.
The engine is a 150bhp co-developed by Nissan and its alliance partner Renault. In conjunction with a manual gearbox and two-wheel drive transmission, it gives the Qashqai a combined fuel consumption figure of 42.8mpg and CO2 emissions of 174g/km. The Qashqai diesel has a couple of unusual features: first, it's fitted with a particulate filter as standard (rather than as an extra-cost option), and second, it's available with a six-speed automatic gearbox. Nissan reports that 15% of all Qashqai orders have been for the 2.0 dCi, and expects this model to account for over a quarter of sales once it appears on the market. Nissan Gallery |
