(Tue 28 Aug 07) Maserati will officially unveil the "ultimate expression" of its sports saloon at the Frankfurt Show.
The Quattroporte Sport GT S uses the same engine and transmission as regular Quattroporte models, but its suspension has been revised to provide a lower ride height (10mm up front, 25mm at the rear) and sharper handling. Maserati has collaborated with Brembo on the brakes, which feature - for the first time on any production road car - discs cast from both cast and iron and aluminium. To improve handling and braking (and traction) still further, Maserati has also fitted new tyres, 245/35x20 at the front and 295/30x20 at the rear. The tyres sit on seven-spoke dark chrome alloy wheels. Inside, there's Poltrona Frau leather and alcantara, a new carbonfibre-finish dashboard and more supportive seats. No UK prices have yet been confirmed. |
