(Wed 14 Feb 07) The Dodge Demon concept, which will be officially revealed at the Geneva Show, is being described as a "roadster with attitude".
Do people still talk like that in 2007? Apparently so, but Dodge is trying to be more up-to-date with its styling than with its catchphrases. As Chrysler Group UK Managing Director Peter Lambert puts it, "You might think that American cars always have to be big, but with the Hornet concept and now the Demon Roadster, Dodge has rewritten the rules for cool American car design. "The Dodge Demon gives a taste for a potential future roadster that could sit alongside the Caliber and the Nitro and Avenger cars that we will launch later this year." The Demon uses a 172bhp 2.4-litre engine and sits on 19" alloy wheels. An aggressive frontal appearance is achieved by combining the typical Dodge crosshair grille with wedge-shaped headlight units.
