(Tue 17 Jul 07) Kia has created a range of special offers across its entire model range. The most intriguing is a repeat of one that was announced when the new Carens arrived on the UK market. Pregnant mothers are eligible for discounts according to how many babies they are expecting, from £100 for a single bundle of joy to a free car in the case of quintuplets. (No, we don't know what happens if you pop six sprogs at once - maybe a share offer, but don't quote us on that.) Diesel versions of the cee'd S, GS and SL are now available for the same prices as their petrol equivalents, which means a drop in cost of up to £1000. And the Picanto LS is being sold with one year's free insurance, though it would be advisable to check for conditions relating to that offer. There's quite a variety of special edition models, starting with the Rio Red. Based on the LS and available with 1.4-litre petrol and 1.5-litre CRDi turbo diesel engines, the Red costs £680 less than the standard car. The Carens G5 and GS5 are based on the existing G and GS but cost £1000 less and come with all-round electric windows, alloy wheels and a new rear badge. Availability of the Titan special edition version of the Sportage (with 17" Rimfire alloy wheels and metallic paint) is being extended, and there's a new Sorento Titan too, with 18" Rimfire alloys. Prices are the same as for the XT models, starting at £25,045. Finally, the Sportage and Sorento ranges also have new Xi special edition entry-level models. The Sportage Xi costs £13,995, or £1350 less than the standard XE, while the Sorento Xi comes in at £18,995, a saving of £1000 compared with the XE. |
