(Tue 19 Jun 07) The Peugeot 207 was the only car in Europe to sell more than 40,000 units in May this year.
According to JATO Dynamics, the 207 achieved a total of 40,446 sales, giving a year-to-date total of 194,052. The Ford Focus is second in each case with 39,996 and 191,965 respectively. Next up, in year-to-date terms, are the Fiat Punto, Vauxhall/Opel Corsa, Renault Clio and Volkswagen Golf. Manufacturer performances in May were very different, with Volkswagen leading on 147,993, followed by Ford, Vauxhall/Opel, Renault, Peugeot and Fiat. For more details visit www.jato.com.
