(Tue 19 Jun 07) Prices for the Volvo V70 and XC70, which go on sale in October, have been confirmed.
The same range of trim levels applies to both, but there's a wider choice of engines for the V70 (see feature). This car gets a 198bhp 2.5T petrol turbo, a 235bhp 3.2 and a 281bhp T6 (the last two with Geartronic transmission as standard and the T6 with four-wheel drive) plus 161bhp 2.4D and 183bhp D5 turbo diesels. The XC70 (see feature) is supplied only with the 3.2 - again with Geartronic only - and D5 engines. The trim levels are called SE, SE Sport and SE Lux, in order of impressiveness and expense. SE models come with 17" alloy wheels, Sundby Textile/T-tec upholstery (leather-faced in the XC70), cross-brushed aluminium trim and an eight-speaker sound system. Standard equipment in the SE Sport includes 18" alloys, speed-dependent power steering, Volvo's FOUR-C active suspension system, a rear spoiler and ventilated leather upholstery. The SE Lux reverts to 17" alloys but also has the active suspension, along with bi-xenon headlamps and a powered tailgate with trap sensors.
V70 prices range from £26,495 for the 2.5T SE to £38,180 for the 3.2 SE Lux Geartronic. The XC70 comes in at £31,035 for the D5 SE and reaches £36,200 for the 3.2 SE Lux Geartronic. Volvo Gallery Previous: Peugeot 207 On Top In Europe Next: Toyota Gives Best Of Both Worlds |
