(Tue 27 Mar 07) A low-mileage 1973 with one previous lady owner will be among the stars of the next BCA Classic Auction.
The Harvest Gold Mini 1000 has completed just 33,790 miles in 34 years, and there are MOT certificates to prove it. BCA expects the car to fetch between £2250 and £2650. The rarest, and potentially the most valuable, car in the sale is a 1961 AC Greyhound, one of just 83 built and, according to the AC Owners Club, only 66 survivors. It's also one of only two to have been fitted with overdrive transmission, and its sales estimate is around £27,000. Next to the AC, the car with the second highest estimate (£25,000) is a 1928 Stutz Vertical Eight Type BB Sedan, which spent around half a century in America and was subsequently imported to the UK. The BCA Classic & Historic Sale takes place at BCA's auction centre in Bridgwater, Somerset at 1pm on Tuesday 3 April. Viewing is available the same morning, and on the previous day.
