(Wed 02 Apr 08) Volkswagen is extending its Tiguan SUV range upwards with the introduction of the new 2.0 TDI 170PS version.
The two-litre turbo diesel engine produces 168bhp in this form, so the new car is the most powerful Tiguan yet. With a six-speed manual gearbox and four-wheel drive, it has a top speed of 125mph and a 0-62mph time of 8.9 seconds. Combined fuel economy is 40.4mpg, while the 185g/km CO2 rating means that it just squeaks into VED Band E. The Tiguan 2.0 TDI 170PS is available to order now at £22,670 for the SE and £23,370 for the Sport.
