March 2008 was the best-ever month for SEAT in the UK. SEAT dealers shifted 6881 cars, beating the previous total of 6851 set in September last year.

The most popular model in the range is the Ibiza, of which 2868 examples were registered in March. The León follows on 2452, the Altea (in all its various forms) is third on just over 1200, and there were still a couple of hundred people willing to buy the old seven-seat Alhambra SUV.

SEAT is expecting greater sales success in the near future with the arrival of the new Ibiza and the Ecomotive versions of the current Ibiza (88.3mpg combined, 99g/km CO2 emissions) and León (76.3mpg, 119g/km).
