(Wed 16 Apr 08) Land Rover is applying the very gentlest of facelifts to the 2009 model-year Discovery, which goes on sale in the UK in August.
The bumpers and wheelarches have been redesigned, and are now body-coloured on all models, as is the tailgate lift handle. Clear-lens side indicators and "tungsten" side vents and doorhandles are also standard across the range. The other exterior changes are a new style of 19" seven-spoke wheel and the addition of three new colours: Santorini Black, Galway Green and Bournville (a sort of brownish black). Inside, the choice of trim colours has been increased with the addition of Almond, and the Bluetooth hands-free phone system has been updated. The revised Discovery will first be shown to the UK public at the British International Motor Show, which opens on July 23.
