| Revised Ford Focus ST | ||

(Mon 28 Apr 08) The latest version of the high-performance Focus ST goes on sale at UK Ford dealerships on May 1.
If you agree with Ford's claim that the ST is "the definitive hot hatch", you'll be pleased to hear that mechanically it's the same as it always was, with Volvo's 2.5-litre turbo petrol engine producing 222bhp and pushing the car to a top speed of around 150mph and from rest to 62mph in 6.8 seconds. What's different now is simply that the ST has caught up with the rest of the Focus range in terms of the exterior and interior styling upgrades that were introduced to the less powerful cars earlier this year. There is still the same range of equipment levels - ST, ST2 and ST3 - and prices go from £18,250 to £20,850. Options include a tyre deflation detection system, a module for connecting external devices to the audio, voice control and a satellite navigation system with SD card slot.
