(Wed 30 Apr 08) SEAT has introduced a hefty price cut for both versions of its sporty SUV, the Altea Freetrack 4, bringing the cost of ownership below £20,000 for the first time.
The 198bhp 2.0 TSI turbo petrol car has come down by £1000 to £19,495, while the more economical and cheaper to insure 2.0 TDI turbo diesel has dropped by £1400 to £19,995. SEAT says that it is seeking "to underline its ongoing commitment to maximum value for money", but with so much competition in the lifestyle SUV market it must also be hoping for an improvement in sales.
