(Fri 01 Aug 08) The new Ford Ka will have its world debut at the Paris Show in October. This is the first time we can really describe a Ka as being "new" - the original model has been on sale since 1996, finding 480,000 UK buyers in that time, and it was based on the third-generation Ford Fiesta which had been introduced seven years before that.
This one isn't based on any previous Ford, though it is a close relative of the modern Fiat 500. Unlike Fiat, though, Ford has avoided going down the retro route, giving the Ka up-to-date styling based on its current "kinetic design" philosophy. More details about the car will be announced at the time of the Paris Show. |
