(Mon 11 Aug 08) Yet another manufacturer has decided to give its most fuel-efficient and least CO2-emitting cars their own branding.
This time it's Peugeot, which has created the Blue Lion standard. This is being applied to cars built in an ISO 14001 certified factory which are 95% recyclable and emit 130g/km or less of CO2 in the official EU test. This applies to no fewer than 50 Peugeots in the 107, 1007, 206, 207 and 308 ranges. 33 of these exceed the CO2 requirement significantly, since they have CO2 ratings of 120g/km or less.
