(Mon 25 Aug 08) After displaying a prototype at the Autosport Show back in January, Cornwall-based sports car manufacturer Jetstream has gone into production with its first production model, the SC250.
The angular mid-engined two-seater uses the same two-litre turbo petrol engine found in the Vauxhall Astra VXR, producing around 250bhp depending on whether you put petrol or bioethanol in the tank. Jetstream quotes a 0-60mph time of less than 4 seconds and a top speed of 165mph. An even quicker 300bhp version is due to be introduced early next year.
