(Mon 01 Dec 08) The Skoda Octavia will be replaced by a facelifted model early next year (see previous story), and for the remaining weeks until that happens Skoda is effectively removing the VAT from the prices of the current car.
And not just the list price, either - vehicle delivery and all optional extras will also be charged as if Alistair Darling had scrapepd VAT altogether, which for a heavily-loaded top-spec car could mean savings of up to £3000.
