(Wed 13 Feb 08) Toyota will reveal its iQ city car and Urban Cruiser SUV at the Geneva Show next month.
The iQ had its world debut at Frankfurt last year, but back then it was just a concept. In its Geneva form it's ready for production, which will begin towards the end of 2008. Looking slightly smartlike, the iQ is just three metres long, though it's capable of carrying three adults, and there's further space for either a child or luggage. Toyota describes the iQ as being "a radical shift away from the belief that small cars, although kinder to the environment, are inherently basic and less safe".
The Urban Cruiser is making its European debut at Geneva. It's Toyota's smallest SUV yet, with the emphasis on high fuel economy and low CO2 emissions. Toyota Gallery Previous: More BlueMotion Volkswagens Next: Chevrolet Captiva Edge |
