Hyundai i10 Pricing

(Wed 13 Feb 08)

Hyundai has confirmed that UK pricing for the new i10 city car will start at £6495.

Hyundai i10 03.

That price applies to the entry-level Classic, which comes as standard with air-conditioning, four airbags, front electric windows, power steering, central locking and an audio system with a CD player and MP3 compatibility. The Comfort, which costs £7095, gets rear electric windows, remote central locking and 14" alloys (the Classic has steel wheels), while the £7595 Style comes with 15" alloys, a rear spoiler, heated front seats and an electric sunroof.

All versions use the same 1.1-litre petrol engine and have a CO2 rating of 119g/km, which means £35 annual car tax and exemption from the London congestion charge. The Comfort is available with an automatic gearbox for a total cost of £7895 - Hyundai doesn't yet quote a CO2 figure, but it will certainly be higher than 120g/km, so you'll have to pay for the greater ease of driving in the form of more tax and, if in London, congestion charge payments.

As with other Hyundais, the i10 comes with five years' unlimited mileage warranty. UK sales begin on April 2.
