(Mon 18 Feb 08) The new-generation Citroen C5 will officially go on sale from UK dealership on April 2 this year.
Considerably better looking than the model it replaces, the new C5 will be available in saloon and Tourer forms. The Tourer seems particularly intriguing - longer than the saloon, it comes with a motorised tailgate (controlled by a button on the key fob, or on the car itself) which can open to a chosen level if space around the rear of the car is restricted. The Tourer has a luggage volume of 533 litres, extending when the rear seat is folded to 1490 litres. If you measure capacity not in litres but in 60" plasma TV screens, the Tourer can carry six of those. The C5 will be sold with 1.8- and two-litre petrol engines, and with four HDi turbo diesels including a 200-plus bhp V6. |
