(Wed 20 Feb 08) Fiat will formally announce a new high-performance version of the 500 at next month's Geneva Show.
The 500 Abarth uses a turbocharged 1.4-litre petrol engine producing a maximum of 135bhp. Performance figures haven't been revealed, but with an output like that they should be pretty impressive. The styling is distinctive, as you can see, and it's not all for visual effect - Fiat says that the Abarth has lower drag and better high-speed stability than the standard 500.
