Toyota Revises Yaris SR

Toyota has upgraded the smaller-engined versions of its Yaris SR supermini for the 2008 model year.

Based on the T3 trim level, the new 1.3 petrol and 1.4 turbo diesel cars also get a removable TomTom satellite navigation unit, 16" alloy wheels, sports suspension, a rear roof spoiler, a chrome exhaust finisher, front scuff plates and - for cars with manual transmission - a brushed alloy gearknob.

The SR is available in three- and five-door body styles, and with manual or MultiMode gearboxes. Prices range from £10,995 for the 1.3 three-door manual to £12,995 for the 1.4 D-4D five-door MultiMode.

The 1.8-litre Yaris SR, subject of a recent road test, remains unchanged.
