(Mon 25 Feb 08) The estate version of Hyundai's i30 goes on sale in the on April 2. It's based on a platform 50mm longer than that used in the hatchback, which means more room for rear passengers as well as for luggage.
There are two engines - 1.6-litre petrol and diesel - and three trim levels, all of which include air-conditioning, ESP and a USB/iPod connection. Both engines are available with the mid-level Style trim, while the entry-level Comfort and range-topping Premium trims are available only with the petrol and the diesel engine respectively. Manual transmission is the norm, but the petrol Style can also be specified with an automatic gearbox. Prices start at £12,995 for the Comfort and extend to £16,295 for the Premium.
