| Euro NCAP: Renault Kangoo | ||
|
(Tue 26 Feb 08) In terms of adult occupant protection at least, the new Renault Kangoo is only marginally better than the model it replaces, according to Euro NCAP.
The new Kangoo scored two points more than the old one did in a similar test, but was still given a four-star rating. Issues noted by Euro NCAP were a risk of injury from the driver's femurs connecting with the steering column, and marginal chest protection for the driver and front passenger. In other respects, though, the new Kangoo is a major improvement. In the child occupant and pedestrian protection tests it was given four and two stars respectively, compared with two and one for the earlier model. More information at www.euroncap.com. |
