| Euro NCAP: Citroen C5 | ||

(Tue 26 Feb 08) The new Citroen C5 is the only car to have received five stars for adult occupant protection in the most recent Euro NCAP crash test programme.
The C5 scored 35 points out of a maximum possible 37 in this category. The car behaved well in impact tests, and Euro NCAP's only criticism was that the front passenger seatbelt reminder system did not meet its requirements. For child occupant protection, the new C5 was given four stars out of five, one more than its predecessor did. Euro NCAP was, however, disappointed in the car's pedestrian protection (particularly given how impressive the larger C6 is in this respect) and awarded it only two stars in this category.
