LPG For Subarus

(Thu 10 Jan 08)

Subaru is offering LPG/petrol dual-fuel conversions on selected Forester, Legacy and Outback models.

Subaru Forester 20.

By far the most impressive deal is on the Forester, no doubt because the current model is out to be replaced (see separate story). In this case the conversion itself is free, and Subaru is also throwing in three years/60,000 miles worth of free servicing. The deal applies to all models with two-litre engines, and therefore excludes the 2.5-litre XT.

With the Legacy and Outback, though, it's the 2.5-litre engine that counts. LPG conversions are available on these models at a cost of £1973 including VAT.

Part of the appeal of LPG (liquid petroleum gas) is that it's much cheaper than petrol. Dual-fuel cars can also be registered for exemption from the London congestion charge.
