Kia Special Editions

(Wed 02 Jul 08)

Four limited-edition Kias for your interest and amusement. Starting with the smallest, we have the Picanto Chill, which costs £6995 and comes with air-conditioning (hence the name, of course), remote central locking, iPod compatibility and a choice of several exterior colours, one of which - Cool Blue - is not available on other Picantos.

Kia Special Editions.

The Rio Chill also has air-conditioning, plus central locking, front electric windows, a rear spoiler and 14" alloy wheels. It costs £7995 if fitted with a 1.4-litre petrol engine, and there's a 1.5 CRDi turbo diesel alternative if you prefer that.

The cee'd SR-7 becomes the cheapest model in the cee'd five-door line-up, with a starting price of £10,995. For that you get a 1.4-litre petrol engine and manual transmission (a 1.6 engine is also available at extra cost, as is an automatic gearbox) and standard equipment includes a 6-CD autochanger, an auxiliary audio socket, 16" alloys, air-conditioning and front foglights. Several colours are offered, including Mars Red, which was previously available only on the three-door pro_cee'd.

And speaking of the pro_cee'd, there's a special edition version of that too. This is another entry-level model, costing £11,995, and it comes with the 1.4-litre petrol engine (a first for the range) plus 16" alloys, air-conditioning, a metal interior finish, black bezel headlights and remote central locking. Kia is also offering one year's free insurance, but you'd better check the finer details of that with your dealer.
