(Wed 02 Jul 08) The endearingly bonkers Toyota Aygo Crazy concept (described in a previous news story) will make its UK debut sooner than previously planned.
The Crazy looks a bit like a standard Aygo city car (vaguely; sort of) but it's somewhat quicker on account of the 200bhp 1.8-litre engine - a tuned version of the one which used to be used in the MR2 and Celica - mounted where the back seat should be and driving the rear wheels. You'll be able to watch it go at the Goodwood Festival of Speed on July 11-13. It will be driven by Peter Dumbreck, who races a 500bhp Lexus in the Japanese SuperGT series. He'd better not drop it. The Aygo Crazy will have to be in one piece for its appearance on the Toyota stand at the British International Motor Show a few days after Goodwood.
