(Thu 03 Jul 08) Nissan will be using the Goodwood Festival of Speed to introduce those of us in the UK to its Denki Cube concept.
The Cube is a city car which is already sold in Japan, and "denki" means "electric", so you'll immediately guess that the concept uses batteries and an electric motor. The batteries are lithium-ion units developed by Automotive Energy Supply (a joint venture involving Nissan and NEC), and they are claimed to offer superior energy, stability and compactness.
Other Nissans at Goodwood will include the new 473bhp 3.8-litre twin turbo V6 GT-R, the new Murano and - for the fourth time - the 1999 British ouring Car Championship winning Primera, driven by former Nissan works driver Anthony Reid. |
