(Thu 03 Jul 08) NAC MG UK has confirmed that the MG TF LE500, which officially goes on sale in September this year, will cost £16,399.
LE stands for "limited edition", and the number indicates that just 500 cars will be built in this form. The engine is a 1.8-litre petrol unit producing 133bhp, which suggests reasonably sporting performance, while combined fuel economy and CO2 emissions are 35.8mpg and 185g/km respectively. The styling has been upgraded slightly, though the car is very obviously derived from the original TF, and standard equipment includes leather seats, a body-coloured hardtop with glass rear screen, 16" 11-spoke alloy wheels, a piano black interior and air-conditioning.
