This is without doubt the first time we've heard of a car aimed specifically at young mothers, so three cheers for Fiat for attending to that gap in the market.

The Panda Mamy is based on the 1.2-litre Panda Dynamic, but at £8200 it's £5 cheaper despite having a lot of extra equipment. This includes air-conditioning, Bluetooth compatibility, a height-adjustable driver's seat and a split/sliding rear seat with ISOFIX child seat attachments.

Of special usefulness, we reckon, are the secondary rear view mirror (for checking on what the sprogs are getting up to in the back), a high-grip boot carpet mat and, perhaps most importantly, washable front and rear seat upholstery.

Yummier mummies will be pleased to learn that the Mamy is available in aubergine or orange paint schemes, but if you don't want to make quite such an overt fashion statement you can also have it in black or grey.
