(Fri 11 Jul 08) Not much has changed under the skin, but the Proton GEN-2 hatchback certainly looks a bit sharper than it used to thanks to a mild facelift.
All versions get a new front bumper and grille, side skirts and rear spoiler, along with a new design of alloy wheel and black-backed headlights. Inside, the handbrake and instrument panel have been redesigned and there's red trim on the seats, doors and steering wheel. The glovebox has been rethought too, though for reasons of practicality rather than style. As before, there's a choice of 1.3- and 1.6-litre petrol engines. Prices start at £8995.
