(Mon 14 Jul 08) Citroen has created a new badge called Airdream to identify the most economical and least CO2-emitting cars in its range.
A Citroen model qualifies for Airdream status if it produces less than 120g/km, or if it's a diesel producing less than 158g/km and fitted with a particulate filter, or if it can run on a petrol/ethanol mix, or if it's fitted with Stop & Start technology. In addition, the vehicle will have been redesigned to be 95% recoverable (in terms of recycling and energy recovery) at the end of its life. Of the cars Citroen currently builds, fifty qualify by these criteria, from the C1 to versions of the C4 Picasso. |
