(Fri 18 Jul 08) Vauxhall will be using the British International Motor Show to debut a very special new high-performance Corsa.
Just 500 examples of the VXR Arctic Edition will be sold, and they all come in unique Glacier White paintwork, with 225/35 tyres on 18" black alloy wheels and a Remus sports exhaust. Standard equipment also includes an electric glass sunroof with interior blind, dark tinted rear windows and black roof and door mirrors. Apart from all that, the Arctic Edition is mechanically the same as the standard VXR, but the Remus exhaust has the remarkable effect of boosting power from 189bhp to 204bhp, making this the hottest Corsa yet. It costs £16,995 and is on sale now. The Corsa is one of three fast Vauxhalls at the British Show, the others being the new VXR8, with its 425bhp 6.2-litre V8 engine, and the Astra Nürburgring Edition which was launched late last year (see separate story). |
