(Tue 17 Jun 08) Skoda has confirmed that UK prices for the new Superb will start at £15,490.
There's certainly no shortage of choice in the range. There are 24 models altogether, with a vast array of engines from the 1.4-litre turbocharged TSI to a 3.6-litre V6, plus various petrol and diesel units in between, and you can also have two- or four-wheel drive and manual or DSG (six- or seven-speed) gearboxes Skoda is also offering three trim levels, called S, SE and Elegance. All have the innovative Twindoor system which allows you to treat the Superb as a saloon or a hatchback, but only the Elegance offers the multi-mode adaptive headlights. There's plenty of space inside, with lots of room for front and rear passengers (already a feature of the previous Superb) and 565 litres of luggage room with the rear seats in place. £15,490 buys you the entry-level 1.4 TSI S, while the range-topper is the 3.6 V6 with four-wheel drive and six-speed DSG at £26,675.
