(Wed 18 Jun 08) Mazda UK has just recorded its best-ever sales for the month of May, having shifted 3969 units. That includes 124 cars sold in Malta and Cyprus, which come under the UK operation, and although this isn't exactly big business it's still double the 2004 figure, and Mazda points out that it actually has 4% of the market share in Cyprus.
So far this year, the most popular Mazda models are the 3, the 2 and the 6 in that order, all of them having broken the 5000 sales mark in the first five months of 2008. Next up are the MX-5 (2969), the 5 (2562) and the RX-8 coupé, CX-7 SUV and BT-50 pickup, which have racked up 1409 sales.
