The fifth British Insurance Car Security Awards have proved to be a triumph for Audi and Citroen. Audi was named top manufacturer, and also won the Compact Executive, Open-Top and Performance Car categories with the A4, TT Roadster and S8 respectively.

Despite missing out on the manufacturer trophy, Citroen did one better than Audi in the sense that its cars won four categories: Small Family (C4 Exclusive), Family (C5 Exclusive), Compact MPV (C4 Picasso Exclusive) and Executive (C6). Non-Exclusive versions of the first three models have different levels of equipment and did not perform so well.

The remaining awards were for City Car/Supermini (MINI, not including the Convertible), Large MPV (Ford S-MAX), Compact 4x4 (Volkswagen Tiguan), Large 4x4 (Toyota Land Cruiser V8) and Luxury (Volkswagen Phaeton).
