(Wed 25 Jun 08) Audi has added a new engine to the A5 range and created a special edition of the A6.
The A5 gets a two-litre turbo TFSI petrol engine which develops a maximum of 208bhp and gives the front-wheel drive version a top speed of 155mpg, a 0-62mph time of 6.9 seconds and 42.8mpg on the combined fuel economy cycle. That car costs £28,760, or you can have quattro four-wheel drive for £30,285. Standard equipment in each case includes 17" seven-spoke alloy wheels, xenon headlights, three-zone climate control air-conditioning, full leather upholstery, a ten-speaker audio system and rear parking sensors. Cars are available to order now and first deliveries will take place in August.
Further up the Audi range, there's also a new Limited Edition version of the A6. Using the 2.0 TDI diesel engine, this one is based on the SE but has 18" twelve-spoke alloy wheels (instead of 17" five-spoke) and Milano leather upholstery rather than the cloth trim that comes as standard in the SE. The Limited Edition can be ordered from Audi dealers now, and costs £26,670 in saloon form and £28,240 as an estate. |
