(Thu 26 Jun 08) As its name suggests, the smart fortwo was designed to carry just two people, but figure was vastly exceeded at the recent smart Destination Brooklands event held at Mercedes-Benz World in Weybridge, Surrey.
Participants were invited to enter a "smart-packing" event to see how many of them could fit inside a standard fortwo. The winning group was the car-tortionists, of whom no fewer than 13 - including Britain's Got Talent semi-finalist Iona Luvsandorj - managed to clamber aboard. "The interior of the smart is Tardis-like," said Luvsandorj after untangling herself, "and I think we exceeded the crowd's expectations of how many people we could fit inside it."
