(Thu 13 Mar 08) This is something we really didn't think was going to happen. You may remember that last year Kia introduced a series of discounts for the Carens and Sedona MPVs depending on how many children you had in a multiple birth. The biggest discount applied to anyone who had had quintuplets, which seemed most unlikely.
Well, in November, Dmitry and Varkara Artamkin were indeed blessed with the first set of quintuplets - Elizaveta, Alexandra, Nadezhda, Tatiana and Varvara - to be born in the UK for five years. Since the Artamkins are not UK residents (they'll be going home to Russia in due course), they didn't officially qualify for the offer, but as Kia Motors UK Director of Communications Stephen Kitson says, "How could we not lend a hand?" So Kia has provided the Artamkins with a Sedona on long-term loan. They'll get to keep it for the remainder of their stay in this country.
