Revised Mercedes-Benz M-Class

(Fri 14 Mar 08)

Two and a half years after its introduction to the UK market (see launch report), the Mercedes-Benz M-Class has been given a facelift, along with a few improvements to the interior and some specification upgrades.

Mercdes-Benz M-Class 19.

Although the basic shape is the same, the new M-Class has new bumpers, new light clusters and a larger radiator grille. The range-topping 510bhp ML 63 AMG gets its own makeover which includes new front and rear aprons and a chromed underguard.

Inside, the M-Class gets new Artico synthetic leather for the door centre panel, a multifunction steering wheel, optional four-way lumbar seat support and a new telematics system with the option of voice control.

The range of V6 and V8 petrol and diesel engines remains as before, though Mercedes-Benz is claiming improvements of up to 1.1mpg in combined fuel economy.

UK sales of the revised M-Class will start in late autumn this year.
