As it was in 2007, the Toyota Prius is this year's top car in the J D Power/What Car? UK Car Customer Satisfaction Index Study.

The Prius achieved an extraordinary score of 901 points from a total possible 1000, far higher than that of any other in the Study. Second place went to the Honda Jazz, and in fact this was a very good year for Honda, since the Jazz, the FR-V and the CR-V were all rated highest in their respective categories.

Other section wins went to the Toyota Aygo, Skoda Octavia and Jaguar S-Type. Strangely, the Lexus IS, which was well beaten into second by the Prius among the Upper Medium Cars, was the only Lexus to appear in the top three of any category, even though Lexus was by far the top-rated manufacturer in the survey.
