(Wed 14 May 08) Prince Charles - who will himself turn 60 later this year - has visited Land Rover's factory at Solihull to celebrate the company's own 60th anniversary.
The Prince was given a tour of the factory, and viewed Land Rovers ancient and modern, from the original HUE 166 (see feature) to the LRX concept which is expected to have a CO2 rating of 120g/km. He also unveiled a commemorative plaque, and cut a Land Rover-shaped birthday cake, which was then donated to Birmingham Children's Hospital. |
