The first Ford Fiesta ST to be fitted with a Mountune Performance package has just been completed by Dagenham Motors of South Essex.

As mentioned in John Fife's road test, published earlier this year, there are two Mountune Packages. Stage 1 increases the ST's power output from the standard 148bhp to 163bhp, while Stage 2, which involves replacing the camshafts, takes it to 183bhp.

Dagenham Motors is one of five dealers able to offer the Mountune upgrades, the others being Heartlands Ford in Birmingham, Brunel Ford in Bristol and the Polar Ford outlets in Castleford and Warrington. Ford says that more dealerships will be added to the list later in the year.

Mountune is also working on a Performance package for the Focus ST, and other Fords are due to get the same treatment in future. For more details visit www.mountuneperformance.co.uk.
