(Mon 19 May 08) Radio presenter Chris Evans demonstrated his love for Ferraris in a very public way at the RM Auctions sale of historic Italian supercars in Maranello this weekend.
Evans attended the Ferrari Leggenda e Passione event in the manufacturer's home town and was so impressed with a 1961 250 GT SWB California Spyder that he started bidding.
His final bid was for €7,040,000, or about £5.6 million. Nobody else beat that, so the car will now become part of Evans's considerable collection. |
