Citroen has revealed the UK prices of the C5 Tourer, which goes on sale here on June 17.

The range starts with the 1.8-litre petrol SX manual at £16,695 and extends to the £25,495 2.7-litre V6 HDi turbo diesel Exclusive automatic. In between there's the VTR+ trim level and 2.0 petrol and 1.6, 2.0 and 2.2 diesels, though not every engine is available with every trim and you don't get automatic transmission in the SX models.

Luggage capacity is 505 litres in standard form and 1462 litres with the rear seat folded. Citroen describes the boot as being "one of the largest in the segment", but in fact you get more space in the estate versions of the Ford Mondeo, Mazda6 and Volkswagen Passat, which the company considers to be the Tourer's main rivals.

According to secondhand value experts CAP, however, the Tourer is predicted to be second only to the Passat in its sector for resale price.
